The Dublin Farmers' Market has returned to beautiful Emerald Glen Park for its fourth season. The Market runs from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM every Thursday through September 25.
Once again, the City of Dublin is partnering with the Pacific Coast Farmers' Association to bring you the freshest in California-grown produce, as well as delicious baked goods, hot foods, and more. The Market feature some wonderful new producers this year, as well as returning favorites!
In addition to having a tantalizing selection of fruits and vegetables, the Dublin Farmers' Market features weekly special events, including musical performances, wine and beer tastings, cooking demonstrations, cook-offs, and children's games and activities.
Our weekly themes this year include:
(First Week of the Month): The "First Thursday" events include musical performances, in addition to beer and wine tastings from local breweries and vintners. On Thursday, September 4, we'll have a large staged concert in the park, featuring "Foreverland,"
a 14-piece musical tribute to Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five.
"Dublin Cooks Night"
(Second Week of the Month): This night features cooking demonstrations, taste tests, and cook-offs, where residents can show off their talents in the preparation of a variety of foods, such as chili, pulled pork, ribs, and pasta sauce. Chefs Mario and Sarah from Cookin' at the Market are also on hand at "Dublin Cooks Night" to offer recipes and information about ingredients found at the Market.
(Third and Fifth Week of the Month): This night provides local groups with an opportunity to showcase their talents, and offer up information about their organizations. The Market will also features entertainment from local musical, theatrical, and dance groups. The Fallon Middle School Jazz Band
and the Quarry Lane Jazz Orchestra
are some of the wonderful groups performing this season. "Dublin Idol"
also returned to the Market this year for its second season. Dublin High Sophomore Gwynn Cristobal and Wells Middle School 8th grader Ashley Rose were crowned Dublin Idols at the event in May.
(Fourth Week of the Month): Designed to give families an opportunity to spend more time together, this night features games and activities for the kids, including face painting, balloon twisting with Crackers the Clown, crafts, and a host of fun shows and exhibits. The Valley Children's Mobile Museum is also be open every
Thursday, offering hands-on activities, in addition to their "Traveling Missions" exhibit.
