The Dublin L.E.A.D. program is open to teens entering 7th grade or higher. This program combines the Junior Leader Program and the Junior Aquatic Water Safety Program. Participants will have the opportunity to assist City of Dublin staff members during summer camp and swim lesson times throughout the summer. They will receive training in a variety of job-related skills including: resume writing, job search techniques, interview skills for recreation professionals will also be covered these topics include: How to lead an activity, how to engage participants, water safety skills, playground and park safety, and supervising participants.
Teens who participated in the JLP or JAWS programs for two or more summers will have an active role in coordinating and implementing weekly camp activities and with coordinating the weekly trainings.
Upon acceptance, participants will attend the Dublin L.E.A.D. training the week of May 26th, and attend weekly trainings.
