  1. First Thursday: Paint-Along for Adults

    Beginner and experienced painters are invited to paint alongside artist Karen Wardell, creating a gentle winter scene to take home. All supplies will be provided. Space is limited to the first 20 adults in line at 12:45 p.m. In front of the Bennett Room. First Thursdays are free programs for adults held every first Thursday of the month at the Dubin Library.

  1. The Dublin Chamber of Commerce's First 50 Years: 1968-2018

    Begin with a snapshot of Dublin in 1968, when the Dublin Chamber of Commerce was formed. As a small town with fewer than 100 businesses, fast-growing Dublin had beauty salons and barber shops, auto repair shops, and a cocktail lounge or two to serve new suburbanites who were moving here by the thousands. Learn about the Chamber’s first battle involving a soapbox derby, and see how the Chamber advocated for local businesses. By 1982, Dublin had more than 675 businesses and had become a major shopping and recreational destination with a bowling alley, drive-in movie theater, roller rink, and every type of fast food imaginable. Discover the Chamber’s role in helping Dublin gain a reputation as one of the best cities in California for business owners.

  2. Parks Air Force Base: 1951-1959

    Parks Air Force Base was a basic training center, overseas replacement depot, and air base defense training area during the Korean War. Learn about the Korean War and how Parks Air Force Base provided basic training and prepared airmen for flight school and service. See on display a recruit's ‘regulation’ bunk complete with footlocker and souvenirs; uniforms including the herringbone jumpsuit worn for work duty; an officer’s desk complete with General MacArthur snow globe and original Parks AFB yearbooks with photos depicting the training and camaraderie Parks AFB personnel; and original construction plans, reports, photographs, and documents for Parks AFB and Hospital.
