    Come out to Emerald Glen Park for "First Thursday" at the Dublin Farmers' Market! In addition to finding fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, delicious baked goods, hot foods, and more, our "First Thursday" event will feature wine and beer tastings, hosted by the Dublin Lions Club, and a free monthly concert series. The concert, featuring The Department of Rock, will begin at 6:00 PM. The Farmers' Market is held in the plaza at Emerald Glen Park, off of Gleason Drive. Join us!

  2. "Dublin Cooks Night" at the Dublin Farmers' Market

    September 10, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Emerald Glen Park

    Come out to Emerald Glen Park for "Dublin Cooks Night" at the Dublin Farmers' Market. In addition to finding fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, delicious baked goods, hot foods, and more, the "Cookin' the Market" team will be on hand with cooking demonstrations, plus recipes and advice on how to use different ingredients found at the Market. On September 10, we'll feature a Chili Cook-Off, where local residents can compete to see who makes the best chili in town! Winners will receive a blue ribbon, a gift card to a Dublin restaurant of his or her choice, and bragging rights! The Dublin Farmers' Market is located in the Emerald Glen Plaza, off of Gleason Drive. Join us!

  3. "Community Night" at the Dublin Farmers' Market

    September 17, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Emerald Glen Park

    Join us for "Community Night" at the Dublin Farmers' Market, when local organizations will have an opportunity to share information about their groups with visitors to the Market. Local performing artists, including musicians, singers, and dance troupes, will also perform. On this date, come learn about "splatter...not your ordinary food, wine, and art festival," which will take place on Saturday, September 19. The Dublin Farmers' Market features fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, plus delicious baked goods, hot foods, and more! Look for us in the Emerald Glen Plaza, on the Gleason Drive side of the park.

  4. Final Night of the 2015 Dublin Farmers' Market

    Come out to Emerald Glen Park for the final night of the 2015 Dublin Farmers' Market season.   1. Reading Rascals: A Book Discussion Group for 3rd and 4th Graders

    Sign-ups begin today for Reading Rascals, a book discussion group for 3rd and 4th graders. Registration for this program is required. Space is limited. Stop by the Children's Information desk to sign up and get a copy of this month's book to check out. Read the book before the meeting date, then come ready to talk about the book. We'll also do a fun craft and have a small snack.

  2. Fall Used Book and Media Sale

    September 11, 6:00 PM - September 13, 4:00 PM @ Dublin Library

    Friends of the Dublin Library, Inc., invite you to shop for bargain books and audio-visual materials at the semi-annual Used Book Sale. Most prices are $1 or less. Funds from sales go toward purchasing the Library's materials and supporting its programs. The sale features specially-priced books, vintage books, a teacher materials section, and Sunday specials. The sale begins on Friday, September 11, with a Members-only Night, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. (Memberships will be available for sale at 5:30 PM.) On Saturday, September 12, the sale will run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Sunday, September 13, is "Bag Day." You may fill a paper bag (provided) for $4.00, plus enjoy half-off selected items.

  3. Sing, Move and Read Together - S.M.A.R.T.

    September 16, 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM @ Dublin Library

    This early literacy program is for children six months to five years and their grown-ups. As your child's first and best teacher, come and experience activities that include singing, stories, fingerplays, fun with rhythm, and creative play. Note: S.M.A.R.T. is a cellphone-free zone. For the safety of all children, please do not bring food to the program.

  4. Teen Volunteer Orientation

    September 16, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Dublin Library

    The Dublin Library has openings for teen volunteers to work in the Homework Center, join the Teen Advisory Group or connect with the Teen Tech program. Interested teens must attend this orientation meeting. Staff will describe the volunteer opportunities available and allow time for students to complete and submit an application. Most teen volunteer hours will start in October.

  5. Axis Community Health @ the Dublin Library

    Axis Community Health is a community health center that provides medical care, mental health counseling, and addiction counseling services for everyone in the community through their clinics located in Pleasanton and Livermore. They serve low-income clients who have no other access to health care. A representative from Axis will be at the Dublin Library on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month from 1:00 PM - 4:00 pm, offering information and assistance on Covered California, open enrollment, and Medi-Cal.   6. Adult Literacy Reading Group

    September 22, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Dublin Library

    Reading groups are an opportunity for adults to practice their English language conversational skills. Members read the same books and discuss it at weekly meetings. New members must schedule an appointment for an orientation and sign up through the Library's Adult Literacy Program. Please call the "Write to Read" Adult Literacy office at 510-745-1480. This reading group will continue weekly on Tuesday nights through December 6.

    The Parks and Community Services Department will again host the Family Camp Out at Emerald Glen Park on September 12 and 13, 2015. You'll be only minutes from your house, but it'll feel like you’re miles away! This is a great way to introduce camping to your little ones. We have a variety of games and activities planned to keep everyone active and entertained throughout the evening, including camp fire entertainment, active group games, and s'mores! Dinner, breakfast, fun family arts and crafts, and activities are all included.   2. Splatter . . . not your ordinary food, wine and art festival!

    September 19, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Emerald Glen Park

    Experience the world class wine, the diverse cuisine and the unique creative culture of Dublin and the Tri-Valley at Splatter! This year's event takes place on Saturday, September 19th, from Noon to 8:00 PM at Emerald Glen Park located at Tassajara Road and Gleason Drive. At the heart of the event is the 15,000 square foot Tasting Pavilion featuring more than 30 of the finest wineries, micro-breweries and restaurants in the Tri-Valley. Passports can be purchased in advance at the pre-event rate of $30 or on the day of the event for $35. The festival will also feature two stages of live entertainment, an Arts and Culinary Marketplace, mobile food trucks, unique and interactive art and a grand finale concert featuring "The Peelers" followed by a spectacular Laser Light Show at 8:00 PM.
