The Zoning Enforcement Officer enforces all Zoning and Property Maintenance Ordinances. Enforcement is provided both pro-actively and on a complaint basis through the Planning Division. The City will respond to possible ordinance violations if a formal complaint is filed. Section 6254 of the Government Code provides that records of investigation of complains are not public records. Therefore, investigations of complaints will be kept confidential and information will not be disclosed except as required by a court order. Be aware, especially difficult issues may require several phone calls, site visits and/or letters before violations are corrected.
