The City Building Official manages the Building and Safety Division. City Staff include a Senior Building Inspector and support staff. Various outside consultant firms provide the plan checking and inspection services. The total building valuation for calendar year 2007 was $97,883,881.
The City of Dublin is currently using the following Codes
- 2006 Edition of the International Building Code (2007 CA Building Code)
- 2006 Edition of the International Fire Code (2007 CA Fire Code)
- 2006 Edition of the Uniform Mechanical Code (2007 CA Mechanical Code)

- Plan Check Timelines: Currently, it takes approximately 2-3 weeks to process a building permit requiring plan review submittals. A majority of minor permits are issued over the counter. Refer to questions 21 & 27 in FAQ for more information.
