Lucky Limerick Winning Poems

Come Be Irish

The leprechauns have gathered to play
At the parade for St. Patrick's Day.
There will be lots of green,
Including the cuisine.
Come be Irish in Dublin today!

Irish Twins

My twin babies bounce on my knee.
They smile and giggle with glee!
With red hair and fair skin,
And their home in Dub-lin,
Little leprechauns - they could be?

Poor Fred

There once was a boy named Fred
Who couldn't stop wetting the bed.
He woke with a frown
Cause he'd started to drown.
And that was the end of poor Fred.

Mellow

There once was a fellow named Mellow.
He couldn't stop turning bright yellow.
On one stormy night.
While flying his kite.
The lightning turned him into jello.

Five Boys

Once there were five boys in the school gym.
All five of them liked a girl named Kim.
Then they had a big fight.
Almost until midnight.
Hen they found out that hate was a sin.

Dublin Our Jewel

Bonnie Dublin, bright gem of the East Bay,
Sister City to the Emerald Isle's Bray.
Convenient to BART,
A city with heart.
"THE place to live," proud Dubliners say.
