Parks and Community Services Director: Diane Lowart
The mission of the Parks and Community Services Department is to develop and implement quality programs that strengthen community image, provide recreational experiences, encourage healthy lifestyles and preserve the City's heritage. This is accomplished by
- Providing innovative recreation, social and cultural activities and programs that are responsive to the needs of the community.
- Providing planning and administration for the acquisition and construction of parks, open space, trails, public facilities and public art projects.
- Operating and scheduling use of public facilities and parks in a cost-effective and customer-focused manner.
- Maintaining effective partnerships with local public agencies and community organizations and engaging the public in the planning and evaluation of Department programs and services.
By successfully accomplishing this mission, the Parks and Community Services Department provides essential community benefits, including:

The Department also manages the Emerald Glen Activity Center, the Dublin Senior Center, the Dublin Swim Center, Stager Community Gymnasium and the Heritage Center. Also, the Department schedules the use of the Dublin Sports Grounds, Dublin Civic Center, Dublin Public Library and the Dublin Unified School District athletic fields, multi-purpose rooms and gymnasiums.
