Fire Suppression

The Alameda County Fire Department provides the City of Dublin with 36 line personnel which are assigned to the City on three engine companies and one truck company. There are three fire stations in Dublin:

Station 16  7494 Donohue Drive

Station 17  6200 Madigan Avenue

Station 18  4800 Fallon Road


 

Emergency Response

In addition to fire suppression, the Alameda County Fire Department provides, under contract, first responder/paramedic services on all engine companies and all necessary fire and emergency medical support services.

Fire Prevention Bureau

The Fire Prevention Bureau performs plan reviews and inspections of new construction. Prior to the issuance of a building permit, the Fire Prevention Bureau reviews all building plans to ensure that the plans comply with all applicable fire codes and regulations. Fire prevention inspectors conduct periodic inspections of facilities to ensure that business operations are conducted in a safe manner and are consistent with the conditions of approval. The Fire Prevention Bureau also issues permits and conducts inspections for special events such as festivals, events with tents or canopies and fireworks booths. These services are provided under contract with Alameda County Fire Department. The Fire Protection Bureau is located at the Dublin Civic Center at 100 Civic Plaza.

Plan review turn around times for fire protection system plans (such as sprinklers and fire alarm) are generally 2 weeks for first submittal, 1 week for second submittal.

Permit Issuance requests will be accepted in the Building and Safety Division and Fire Prevention Bureau Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00a.m. and 4:00p.m. with limited service between 1-2 p.m.
