Dublin Heritage Park & Museums Unveils New Exhibit, "Pride of Place"

Gain an appreciation for Dublin’s most iconic sites at the Heritage Park & Museums’ new exhibit, "Pride of Place."  The exhibit, shown in the Murray Schoolhouse Little Classroom, opens Saturday, October 14, and runs through January 28, 2018.  Museum hours are Tuesday, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., and Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Admission is free.

"Pride of Place" explores Dublin’s beloved buildings and most iconic sites – from the Gothic Revival-style Old St. Raymond Church (1859) and the Craftsman-style Kolb House (1910) to the ranch houses of 1960's suburbia - through local artists’ watercolors, oil paintings, and photographs.

After being inspired, stop at the makers’ station to create your own “Ode to Dublin” in mixed media, or take our new, 30-minute tour, "The Kolb House: A Craftsman Classic," which begins outside with an appreciation of architectural details.  As the tour moves inside, wander through the various rooms and admire the natural beauty and comfort of handmade, practical, Mission-style furniture, textiles, and Arts and Crafts pottery.  Suitable for all ages.
