The City of Dublin will participate in the annual nationwide Manufacturing Day event on Friday, October 6, 2017. Manufacturing Day was created to tell the story about the importance of manufacturing in the United States economy. Manufacturing jobs are high wage and high growth. In addition, manufacturing is a driver of the East Bay economy, contributing 70,000+ jobs, and is an important segment of Dublin's economy.
Tri-Valley Manufacturing Day 2017 is a collaborative effort between local educational institutions, participating manufacturing businesses, and the cities of Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin. Our goal is to celebrate modern manufacturing and inspire the next generation of manufacturers. Our event features facility tours and presentations at Tri-Valley manufacturers, as well as a lunch reception and exhibit of manufacturers. Selected local high school students from the Tri-Valley Regional Occupation Program, college students from Las Positas College, and members of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Silicon Valley Chapter will be attending the facility tours. These participants will also be joining the lunch reception and exhibit of various manufacturing businesses in the Tri-Valley area. To RSVP contact Darla Murtaugh via
